BIOGRAPHY

Talk Like Tigers are a K-pop inspired duo from County Durham, made up of twin sisters Charlotte and Stephanie.

Their upcoming single Killer Barbie, co-written with Kanata Okajima (one of Japan’s most successful songwriters), is a glossy, tongue-in-cheek response to being underestimated, written the day after a songwriting session with a patronising collaborator.

Their debut double EPs, Passion Fruit and Feminine Power, showcase their blend of dreamy pop, tight harmonies and hook led songwriting, and have featured on Made in ChelseaListen.

They’ve picked up support from BBC Music, including a live BBC Introducing session, airplay on BBC Radio 1 from Huw Stephens, and a debut single premiere on BBC Radio 6 Music.

Live, they perform as a multi-instrumental duo, combining vocals with synths, guitar, drum pads and vocal effects. They’ve played festivals including Glastonbury and Standon Calling, and venues such as O2 Academy Newcastle.

They’ve shared line-ups with artists like Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Georgia, and played a sold out BBC Introducing show at The Glasshouse Gateshead. In 2022, they toured as support, including a show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
